JAKARTA: Securities company PT Mandiri Sekuritas says that it will underwrite bond issuances for six companies in the fourth quarter of the year
AKARTA: Securities company PT Mandiri Sekuritas says that it will underwrite bond issuances for six companies in the fourth quarter of the year.
Mandiri Sekuritas investment banking chief Iman Rachman said that the company would cooperate with other securities firms to manage the issuances.
“The firms come from various sectors, including multifinance, property, banking, oil and gas and mining. All the bonds will be in rupiah,” Iman said on Tuesday.
Iman declined to reveal the size of the individual issuance, saying that Mandiri Sekuritas’ take from the joint underwritings would be around Rp 3 trillion (US$315.7 million).
According to Iman, Mandiri Sekuritas has managed bond issuances for 16 companies in the first eight months of the year. The company, he said, managed 14 issuances last year.
As expected, corporate bonds have been popular in the market this year, on the back of the nation’s economic growth, which has encouraged companies to expand.
